METRO Cash & Carry Hungary, established in 1993, was the first international wholesaler in Hungary, now operating 13 stores to serve our professional customers’ commercial and gast- ronomy activities across the country.

We are looking for enthusiastic Information System Manager to join our great team!


Which tasks are waiting for you?

  • Managing the local country IS department, service delivery in line with the corporate and local IM / IT strategies
  • Identify opportunities for Business Process Optimization
  • Being responsible for the IS specific activities, in a way that the country Business and Users will be supported according their needs
  • Monitor and analyze group initiatives and propose country specific improvements/enhancements
  • Operation of the local IT infrastructure, the country solutions and the not consolidated applications (according to SLAs)
  • Being responsible for defining, monitoring and improving  Service Levels
  • Development of country solutions and not yet harmonized applications
  • Realizing of a quantitative and qualitative personnel management tuned to HR procedures and within the defined budget to create an optimal environment for the personnel for the longer and short terms
  • Knowledge centre on specified aspects of the corporate IM/IT service provider
  • Project Management for local and corporate IS projects
  • Contribute to the worldwide IT strategy and business plans and develop local IS policies

We are looking for you if you have:

  • University degree in Information and Communications Technology
  • At least 6+ years of experience in an IT management/supervisor role
  • Negotiation level of Business English
  • Know foundations of business economics and have business analytical skills
  • Functional knowledge of applications
  • Ability to work as a team member in an international and intercultural environment
